Mikala Matias, left, Taylor Hazel, and Lena Morelli were busy yesterday beading designs on deer hide mitts they are making in their fashion class at Fort High. The special workshop was being headed by Nancy Jones of Mine Centre. According to teacher Shannon Westover, the students have gained a new appreciation for the time and patience required to create hand-made pieces such as these.
