Lucky winner
Four-year-old Sydney Korkola, the first-place winner of the Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 8-14) draw here, and her grandpa, Dave Wickstrom, were greeted by Fort Frances Fire Chief Steve Richardson and Canadian Tire owner Angus McDonald when they picked up her new Supercycle bike on Monday. The other winners in the draw were: Angela Cole and Brody Joyce, who won backpacks full of fire safety goodies, and Justin Whitburn, Nikita Bateman, Dakota Sisco, Bianca Lesperance, and James Falloon, who won smoke alarms. While Canadian Tire was the major one, other Fire Prevention Week sponsors included Gillon’s, Acklands and the Fort Frances Fire & Security Centre. —Staff photo
