Sunset Country Métis youth rep Sarah Marusyk shared information about Louis Riel and his efforts to preserve Métis rights and culture during an event outside the Civic Centre on Monday. Mayor Roy Avis joined Sunset Country Métis members for the raising of the MNO flag in honour of “Louis Riel Week,” which was followed by a lunch of wild rice soup and bannock at the Métis Hall.
