Piper Edwards, nine, helped cut off more than a foot of Ria Cuthbertson’s hair on Saturday during a benefit for her three-year-old brother, Laud, who was diagnosed with leukemia in December and currently is undergoing chemotherapy treatments in Winnipeg. Cuthbertson, along with Kelly Haney, who also cut her hair, will donate their locks to a company called Art of Wigs, which makes wigs for females with cancer and alopecia. Cuthbertson raised more than $1,200 for the Edwards’ family. The benefit, held at the International House of Bowling in International Falls, also included a bake sale, raffles, and face-painting.
