Tourism, Culture and Sport minister Daiene Varnile, left, congratulated Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre CEO Caroline Goulding, Atikokan town councillor and library board member Mary Makarenko, local librarian Nadine Mutz, Atikokan Public Library CEO Tracey Sinclair, and Fort Frances Public Library board chair Andrew Hallikas on receiving the Minister’s Award for Innovation–Small Library category last Thursday in Toronto. Representatives from the two libraries accepted the award on behalf of all the co-operative partners, which also include the Emo Public Library, Rainy River District School Board, Northwest Catholic District School Board, and Seven Generations Education Institute.
