Alberton Reeve Mike Hammond, left, signed a new library service agreement with Alicia Subnaik Kilgour, CEO of the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre, and library board chair Andrew Hallikas at last night’s council meeting there. The agreement means Alberton residents no longer have to pay a $77 non-resident fee to use the library—they can just go in and get a library card. The township will pay the library directly—a cost offset by a grant accessible now that the agreement is in place.
