Twelve-year-old cancer survivor Madisyn DeGagne started off The Canadian Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life” on Friday night by freeing a mixture of yellow and blue balloons. Beautiful weather helped the event smash last year’s total by raising over $54,000 with DeGagne being the top fundraiser at around $2,500. Her team, “Pink Attitude: Second Generation,” also won the top decorated campsite.
