Long-time Kiwanian Gord McTaggart received a T-shirt reading “Born to be a Kiwanian” during the local Kiwanis’ 90th anniversary celebration Saturday at La Place Rendez-Vous. While no charter members of the Fort Frances Kiwanis were alive to attend, McTaggart’s mother, Elsie, was at the original charter night on Nov. 10, 1924 while she was pregnant with him. Gord was born four-and-a-half months later.
