Goalie Riley Stromlund of the Rainy River/Baudette Maroon thrust out his pad for a big save against Fort Frances Gillons’ Sharks forward Nathan Smith (14) during the second period of the ‘C’ final of the local Atom ‘A’ tournament yesterday at the Ice For Kids Arena. Rainy River/Baudette came away with a 5-4 victory in a shootout as part of the 14-team event. International Falls Purple won the ‘A’ title with an 8-1 win over International Falls Gold while Atikokan won 11-3 against Rainy River/Baudette Gold in the ‘B’ final.
