Tom Duchnicki watched his chip attempt on the ninth hole at Kitchen Creek roll just past the cup at the third annual Rick Pearson Memorial Golf Tournament held at the Kitchen Creek Golf Course on Monday. The tournament observed a Texas Scramble format that saw Paul Morrison, Shawn O’Donnell, Dave Hyatt, and Tom Foley come out as the top team of the 32 teams that took part. A little over $7,500 was raised with $4,000 going to the Northern Superior Kidney Foundation Chaper out of the Thunder Bay, $2,500 to Riverside, and $1,000 set aside to go the dialysis unit for the La Verenderye hospital. —Emmanuel Moutsatsos photo
