WWII Métis Veteran Jean Leander Camirand Sr. , joined by his wife Eloise and daughter Kelly, was honoured last month for his service in WWII, through the Métis Veterans Legacy Program. The program, with awards veterans and survivors with financial compensation, a hand-crafted poppy pin and a ceremonial sash, is taking place across the country. – Submitted photo
