Grade 7 student Sammy Stone demonstrated Newton’s First Law of Motion—inertia—by performing the impressive “whip-off-the-tablecloth” trick during the “Around the World” family science night Tuesday at J.W. Walker School. Presented by the school council and Science North, with sponsorship from the RRDSB Parent Involvement Committee, students and their families were able to take part in a variety of scientific activities. There also were plenty of door prizes, as well as snacks and refreshments.
