Christine Denby, right, and her Shade teammate both had their eye on a pop fly near home plate during their squad’s win over the Village People in the ‘B’ final of the annual Kingsley Downs/Gus Lindberg Memorial slo-pitch tournament on Sunday afternoon at the Devlin Ball Park. Hit Squad claimed the ‘A’ final title this year with a 17-10 win over Charlie’s Angels while the River Rats downed Northwest Bay to nab the ‘C’-side crown.
