Firefighters battled a blaze into the night at a residence on Church Road in Devlin. Reported just before 4 p.m. yesterday, the La Vallee Fire Department responded to the call first, then called for mutual aid from the Alberton Fire Deptartment. Some firefighters remained on site today to investigate the cause of the fire, which was described as having caused “significant damage.” No injuries were reported as of press time this morning.
