Hoop dancer Dallas Arcand danced to a traditional shake song yesterday at the Townshend Theatre as part of Indigenous Education Week at Fort Frances High School. Arcand is a three-time World Champion hoop dancer, a motivational speaker and musician and recently won the 2019 Indigenous Music Award for Best Electronic Music Album as “DJ krayzkree.” Fort High students were treated to several types of traditional dances, as well as learning the history and meaning behind them.
