Shoppers Drug Mart in Fort Frances showed its support for Bear Witness Day, in honour of Jordan’s Principle, honoured each year on May 10. Jordan’s Principle ensures all First Nations children living in Canada can access the products, services and supports they need, when they need them. Jordan’s Principle is named in memory of Jordan River Anderson. He was a young boy from Norway House Cree Nation in Manitoba, who tragically fell through the cracks, ultimately dying in hospital, because the different levels of government couldn’t agree on who was responsible for his home-based care.
