Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board (RRDSSAB) chair Deb Ewald, left, paramedics Steven Youden and Robert Altbauer, and RRDSSAB CAO Dan McCormick smiled for the camera during the RRDSSAB annual general meeting at the Copper River Inn last Thursday. Youden and Altbauer were recognized by the board for a successful save in the field, with awards given to Syed Ali, Jordan Dunn, Melanie Geroy and Stanley Viotaros for births–that is to say, paramedics who successfully delivered a baby in their ambulance. Other awards were distributed for years of service to RRDSSAB.
