It was a busy week of travel around the district for the six members of the Pech tribe from Honduras, who were visiting the area as part of an exchange through the Canadian International Development Agency’s “Indigenous Peoples Partnership Program.” Joined here by the chief and council of Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation (representing the community that hosted them), the visit was an opportunity for cultural exchange, learning, and building parternships.
