Chanelle Matthews showed off the festively-decorated miniature house she built with her Auntie Flo and donated to the annual “Spirit of Christmas” fundraiser held yesterday at La Place Rendez-Vous. It was crowded around the tables as people bid on arts, crafts, and handcrafted holiday decorations during the silent auction portion, and other raffles also were held, with proceeds going towards the “Community Chest” and Canadian Cancer Society. While always a holiday season highlight for the community, this was final year for the “Spirit of Christmas.”
