Fort Frances Girls’/Women’s Hockey Association players helped to pass on all of their knowledge to the newcomers during an Esso Fun Day program held at the ’52 Canadians Arena on Saturday morning. The event was held in conjunction with the IIHF’s World Girls’ Hockey Weekend and helped to bring the game to girls who may have never played it before. Eight new girls tried hockey for the very first time while 27 FFGWHA members were on hand to help out.
