Ryan Verrier delivered a pitch for the Downs family team against Shade on Saturday morning during the annual John Kingsley Downs/Gus Lindberg tournament in Devlin. The Downs family came back to win the game 15-13 and eventually captured the ‘C’ final with an 11-4 win over the Whiskey Jacks on Sunday. The Clippers won the ‘A’ final with a 5-2 win over the Brew Jays while FUBAR edged the River Rats 11-10 in the ‘B’ final.
