Although a valiant effort was made—and despite the help of MNR fire crews—Fort Frances lost the annual cross-border tug-of-war to International Falls on Friday afternoon near the Sorting Gap Marina. Despite the loss, the Canadian side still leads the friendly competition by a 2-1 margin.
