Sharmarae Debungee learned how to properly poach a fish at the Minojingewin cooking workshop held yesterday at the Coochiching multi-use facility. The two-day workshop, promoted through the Seven Generations Education Institute, was meant to teach people how to properly cook healthy food. Twelve people participated, learning how to cook healthy bannock, poached fish, mashed potatoes, and mixed roasted vegetables.
