Crossroads School students participating in the Project Sunset program received canoe training from instructor James Woods yesterday afternoon at Seven Oaks. The youth learned basic paddle strokes and how to safely enter a canoe before getting out on the water and trying it themselves. Safety was a main concern of the lesson and the paddlers had to be very careful about not getting carried away from the group on such a windy day.
