Quebec residents Dereck Pigeon, left, and Guillaume Normandin headed out in their kayak on Rainy Lake this morning to continue their 7,000-km journey from Prince Rupert, B.C. to Montreal following the Alexander Mackenzie Trail. The pair stopped here for three days’ rest before continuing their trip, which they began May 5 and hope to complete by Nov. 20.
