Protected in blue hazmat suits, two members of the Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Service assessed a mock chemical leak at the CN rail yard yesterday morning during the final day of their Hazardous Material Operations Level training. Local firefighters, along with a few from Atikokan and Shuniah (near Thunder Bay), took part in the four-day training, which will allow them to respond to incidents involving hazardous materials.
