Farmers and friends from across the District joined in on last Thursday’s Soil & Crop Tour, beginning with John and Jacob Gerber’s potatoes near Fort Frances, and moving west as far as Timo Brielmann’s. Other stops included Micha Gerber’s corn, Mark Husser’s grain corn, and Jeff Pollard’s cover crops/alternative feed. The tour also stopped at Dave Schraa’s for a Carpe Diem Farms/Purity Seeds tour, where they were also provided with lunch. —Daniel Adam photos
