Dressed up as a pirate, OPP Cst. Anne McCoy explained to St. Michael’s School students yesterday the importance of wearing reflective material while trick-or-treating in order to be visible to drivers. The local OPP detachment partnered with members of the local Community Policing Committee to deliver the “Doing the bright thing!” message as part of the 12th-annual “Project Safe Hallowe’en.” Students across the district will receive a reflective armband to wear this year instead of a glowstick, which had been distributed in previous years.
