Hair donation

Laud fundraiser

Heather Latter

Berea Edwards, seven, helped cut off about 16 inches of Kelly Haney’s hair on Saturday during a benefit for her three-year-old brother, Laud, who was diagnosed with leukemia in December and currently is undergoing chemotherapy treatments in Winnipeg. Haney, along with Ria Cuthbertson, who also cut her hair, will donate their locks to a company called Art of Wigs, which makes wigs for females with cancer and alopecia. Money raised went to the Edwards’ family. The benefit, held at the International House of Bowling in International Falls, also included a bake sale, raffles, and face-painting.
