Northern Development and Mines minister Michael Gravelle shared some remarks Friday morning during the official ground-breaking ceremony of New Gold’s Rainy River Project located north of Barwick. Two school buses brought New Gold staff, community reps, and government officials out to where the open pit mine will be developed. Several people offered comments to commemorate the event and photos were taken as the sod was turned. A luncheon was held at the Barwick Hall following the ceremony.
