Fort Frances Lion Flora Danylchuk was more surprised than anyone when Safeway assistant manager Ryan Hood, right, drew her name as the winner of the Fort Frances Lions Club’s groceries-for-a-year raffle last Wednesday. Danylchuk, who bought at least eight tickets for the raffle, was presented with $5,200 in $100 Safeway gift cards. Linda Carmody won the second-place prize of $1,000 in groceries. The Lions sold nearly all 1,500 tickets for the raffle.
