Local MP Don Rusnak announced infrastructure funding for Fort Frances, Emo, and Chapple yesterday morning at the Civic Centre. Fort Frances got a total of $957,000 to replace pipes under Second Street East from Mowat Avenue to Portage Avenue while the Township of Emo got $164,000 for upgrades to its main sewage pumping station and to replace pumps at its water treatment plant. Chapple received $75,000 to upgrade a main outlet pipe at its lagoon.
