Hanfen Chen, left, and Marilyn Bell enjoyed a tasty meal at Bears Pass on Saturday during the Halkirk fire department’s 17th-annual fish fry fundraiser. People turned out to eat fish, buy homemade pies, and try their luck in both quilt draws and penny auctions, with proceeds going towards the fire hall there.
