Shirley and Allen Teeple were among those who enjoyed a roast beef dinner at the “Gold Rush” gala in Emo on Saturday night, which was hosted by the Rainy River Valley Agricultural Society to raise money for upgrades at the Emo fairgrounds. Over the past three years, the fundraising committee for RRVAS has been working to raise its portion of the funds for the River Valley Events & Education Centre Project. The new building will have four new kitchens, a covered “open air” area for events, washrooms, showers, and renovations to the existing exhibition hall.
