A sure sign that spring is near, a lone trumpeter swan was spotted at Seven Oaks on Thursday evening. A local bird-watcher told the Times that they had seen not only the same swan but also a dozen Canada geese, two mallards, two common goldeneyes, two bald eagles, and a herring gull in the same vicinity.
