As families prepare for Thanksgiving festivities, The Family Centre was making preparations of its own. The Centre was a hub of activity yesterday, as volunteers, and friends new and old, gathered around the table to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal together. The feast is an annual tradition for the Centre, which provides a place to rest and recharge, clothing and warm meals to anyone who needs them. The facility is volunteer run, and survives entirely on donations. It is located in the old CN station on Fourth Street. The facility is also preparing for a children’s coat drive, which will take place later this fall.
