Laura Bruyere, left, Donna Penney and Corinne Webb filled some takeout bags with ready-to-go strawberry shortcake ahead of the La Verendrye Hospital Auxiliary’s “Strawberry Social” on Thursday. Hundreds of takeout orders were made to ship out across town for those who couldn’t attend the social itself.
