Fort Frances emergency teams were called to the CN site on Third Street East behind the LCBO yesterday afternoon to investigate a possible gas leak. Upon arrival, crews found traces of carbon dioxide in the air, which is not harmful. The source of the leak was identified to be a tanker car on a train bound for Winnipeg. The top valve was releasing low amounts of gas from the tanker which had expanded due to yesterday’s heat.
