Borderland awoke to a frigid minus-40 C temperature this morning after an Arctic air mass moved into the region last night. The cold snap prompted the cancellation of school buses around the district and likely resulted in a some residents’ vehicles not starting. The good news is the weather is forecast to warm up, possibly reaching minus-four (25 F) by Sunday.
