Florence Hill, a member of the local Legion ladies’ auxiliary, packaged up candy at the Legion yesterday afternoon to be put into care packages and sent to Canadian soldiers serving in Afghanistan. The auxiliary received very generous support from the public, with enough donated goods to fill four tables and more than $600 in cash to buy anything else they needed. Thanks to this support, the auxiliary put together 35-40 packages for the troops.
