Akwe:go program coordinator for the United Native Friendship Centre, Grant Perreault, flipped some burgers during the UNFC’s open house at the newly opened outreach services centre for family and children programs, located at Sixth Street and Webster Avenue. A collaborative effort between various community organizations, the UNFC will be offering different programs Thursday afternoons or by appointment at the location, including the Literacy Program, Akwe:go Program, Aboriginal Family Support Program, O-Gi Employment Services, program, Aboriginal Prenatal Nutrition Program, and Healthy Babies Healthy Children.
