Hundreds of people turned out to the Rainy River First Nations’ pow-wow grounds on Friday to enjoy a plate filled with walleye and smoke sturgeon, along with French fries, salads, and wild rice, during the band’s 46th-annual fish fry. Volunteers began preparing the meal early in the morning while the weather remained clear and warm to encourage district residents to come out and enjoy the fish feast.
