The Salvation Army is calling for help to keep the Hunger Monster caged! On Saturday, they had the Monster on display for the launch of the 6th Annual ‘Fight Hunger. Spark Change’ campaign, held in partnership with Walmart. Until March 17, purchases at Walmart can benefit the Salvation Army Food Bank. Help families experiencing food insecurity in our Community, by showing your support in one of four simple ways: 1. Purchase participating products; 2. Round-up your in-store purchase; 3. Add a donation to your online order; or 4. Drop-off non-perishable items in-store. Walmart Canada will match customer donations up to $820,000! The Fight Hunger. Spark Change campaign is one of the biggest sources of funds for the local food bank. Not only has it kept the shelves stocked, but has allowed for the purchase of equipment, including fridges, to make fresh and perishable foods more available to those in need.
