J.W. Walker students received a lesson in smokehouses and smoking meat yesterday morning during the first day of Seven Generations Education Institute’s “Fall Harvest.” The annual gathering continued today, with district schools visiting to learn about indigenous culture and food practices taught by local elders at the Nanicost grounds.
