The District had plenty to celebrate this weekend, with the return of the annual Rainy River Valley Agricultural Society Fall Fair. The annual event was in its full form, for the first time since before the Covid pandemic, including midway, 4-H steer auction, rides, games, animals and food booths. Highlights included the cattle and horse shows, the Emo Speedway stock car races, the crowning of the Fair Queen and the ever-popular Logger’s Competition. There was something for everyone during the three-day event, with preliminary reports of record attendance. The weekend also gave many organizations a much-needed chance to fundraise, including the 4-H program and West Rainy River District Lions Club.
