This week we spoke to the driver of the #41 Wissota Modified, Ron Korpi.

What is your favourite race track food? My favourite race track food has to be smokies.

When did you start racing? 1968, back then there was only one class, similar to the Emo Street Stocks today. But everything was homemade, you couldn’t open a catalog to buy parts, you had to make it yourself.

Why did you start racing? I like to go fast and be rough!

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start racing? Just get at’er! Don’t think too hard about it, just do it.

What is your favourite part about racing? The camaraderie, we’ve made some really good friends and we’ve made some really good enemies.
