All eyes were on the batter as Stacy Patey of the Fort Frances Herricanes took her lead past Couchiching Lady Raiders’ first baseman Darcy Jones after a Darcy Smith pitch in the fourth inning of Monday evening’s semi-final game in the Rainy River District Women’s Fastball League at VanJura. The Herricanes beat the Lady Raiders 9-5 to earn a spot in tomorrow’s final against the Redgut Babes.
