Every child matters

Priscilla Simard of the Grand Council Treaty 3 women’s council tied another ribbon onto the Ste. Marguerite’s Indian Residential School memorial in Couchiching First Nation on Sunday afternoon. Simard and others were tying the ribbons, as well as laying flowers and shoes at the memorial site, in recognition of the 215 children discovered in a mass grave at a former resdiential school site in Kamloops, B.C. Betty’s in downtown Fort Frances opened their store in a special limited capacity on Sunday to provide the ribbons for sale.
