Gavin Moorhouse began a cross-country ski run Sunday afternoon during the Rainy Lake Nordic Ski Club’s family day event. Those who attended got a chance to try out the cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails near Rocky Inlet, as well as roast wieners and marshmallows over an open fire. The ski club hopes to host another such event later this winter, depending on weather conditions.
