Harsha Rathod, a senior accountant at BDO Canada here, collected food donations as part of Farm Credit Canada’s “Drive Away Hunger” campaign last Friday at Cloverleaf Grocery in Emo. BDO staff collected $883 and 464 lbs. of food which went to the Emo Food Bank located in the former St. George’s Anglican Church. BDO also held a draw for those who made a cash donation and the winner was Grace Peters from Rainy River. BDO Canada will be accepting cash/cheque donations and non-perishable food items at their Fort Frances office (607 Portage Ave.) during business hours (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) until Tuesday, Oct. 15 with those donations going to the Loaves and Fishes soup kitchen.
